This is what pepole should have for storms like hurricane Irene. Well done.
Excellent video. I started prepping back in mid 2008. I have dozens of food grade 50gal drums filled with water for emergencies. I’m not taking any chances.. Anything can happen, and since I have a well with an electric pump, it makes sense to have water stored for those power outages, etc
nice set up-good plan
@gaiagale No, I like the simplicity of the Aquarain gravity system for drinking water. Thanks
Got a big water storage drum from Costco
thanks for sharing …have you explored the ozonating (O3) process
I installed a filter under my toilet.
The south Africans put water into empty coke bottles and put them in the bright sun for 4 hours and it kills all bacteria ,, look it up.
@helloman1976 Chlorox’s home page mentions that bleach can be used to sterilize water.
@helloman1976 Yes, I have the water treatment pills. For those who don’t have them, you can use a few drops of unscented bleach per gallon I think but that’s only for bacteria laden dirty water. Thanks.
The only thing I wanted to add was that I would never add bleach to the water, much better would be to get the water treatment pills or liquid at your survival store and use that. My 2 cents…
Boy, you know your stuff Bro. You insulated the water storage tanks to keep them from sweating. The way that you insulated your attic is impressive also. I’d like to see more videos about how you are preparing.
If you use the backup water while you waiting for things to go down it will self cycle and and always keep fresh water in the storage tanks(don’t know if that is how you have it or not) I live in a camper so creeks are my back up supply
