Follow-up comment rss or Leave a Trackbacki didnt give a shit when mw 2 came out with the cod 4 engine cause it (at that time to me) looked fucking great and fullfilled my expectations, but the gaming industry is moving forward and id like to see a certain graphical improvement,but its not gonna happen, mw 3 is just same shit different day and since i love the battlefield series ill be sticking to that….
there will not be a new engine, modern warfare and mw2 engine was grea, it ran smoothly so no need to replace
I am fine with it,, te modern warfare 2 engine is the same as the modern warfare engine as well,, but when you are comparing those two engines,, there is defently diffrence between those two
EA is much much larger company so they dont have to be aware of the money!!!
activion in the other hand is small company that dont have alot of games so they ar doing the besy they can to suck money from us !?

I always thought that game developers were looking to improve upon their previous games, not just in terms of gameplay and progression of story, but also improvement with graphics and sound. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t COD the most successful game franchise today? Sure, it’s economical for them, but I feel short-changed especially because I’m shelling out $65 for a “new” game in addition to “DLC” at $15 a pop. Not cool, Activision/Infinity Ward/Sledgehammer.
It’s because fucking activison are money whores selling billions of 15 dollar map packs and they wont even invest in a new engine. EA did not sell as close to how many copies of BF: Bad Company 2 compared to Modern Warfare 2 and EA have put so much effort and time into the new engine. Activison is just made up of assholes who will never let one dollar slip.

@Trilililoli lag isnt selective. It doesnt magically become laggy when you are jumping around. He probably had a 3 bar that game. If he was host he would have probably hit that shot. Instead of asking for sniper bullet lag when jumping to be fixed, just ask for sniper bullet lag (no matter what you are doing, jumping, moving, stationary) to be fixed

@Trilililoli its not called lag, its called bad accuracy. Do you really think the bullet is going to go perfectly down the center when you are jumping around and shit. And why would there be lag when you are jumping and shooting and not lag when you are stationary and shooting

Bullet lag is a thing if ur moving and shoot it wont go wer it was ment to, same with the first second of zooming in mid air. Everybody knows this, dont believe me, try for yourself or ask anyone whos quickscoped for the passed 2 years.

I dont have accurate “readings” beause im not a developer at IW but i can tell you this, i am a modder so i know what this engine is capable of.

Actually no.
They didn’t reach to full potential of IW3.
With IW4, they just tweaked the engine so it will fit the game more.
But the core is still the same and they just put it into well….
I wont say full potential but it is close.
@keshaz12 im not saying you dont know anything but to achieve the difference between the IW 3 and the IW 4, they had to do something in between a tweak and a complete renovation. A twenovation

And the Crispness and clarity of mw2?
Better AA and higher resoultion textures. (MW1 540P MW2 640P both upscaled to 1080P with some AA)
Belive me that i know more then you becuase when i was young i would go with my dad to work and have seen his work and he explaind me everything i asked (and i asked a lot)
@keshaz12 just because your dad works as a graphic designer does not mean that you know everything there is to know about this topic. And i suggest going to an optometrist because if you barely see any different between the grungy cod 4 engine and the crispness and clarity of mw2 then your eyesight must be horrendous.

@Trilililoli and you can run around and jump while shooting an lmg because its fully automatic and you can miss a shot or two
