Harvesting

Image by Chiot’s Run ** I pick my first vegetables from the seeds I planted yesterday this spring. We have been eating lettuce, spinach and a few other elements of the garden for a month or two, but those were all planted last year or are perennials. I sowed some radishes ‘Pink Beauty’ and rocket, on March 17 in the cold frame. chiotsrun.com/2010/04/29/first- collection-of-2010-semi-plan …

Solar Heating – Solar Sprint 2010

A few nice Solar Heating images I found:

Solar Sprint 2010
Solar Heating

Image by Argonne National Laboratory ** Middle school students in the Chicago area are preparing to race their model / battery-powered cars solare.Chi Solar Sprint: The Model Solar Car Challenge is designed to inspire students to apply science and engineering principles to real-world applications . Teams used parts from a solar model car kits cell to build their vehicles. The cars, driven by wires that the duration of the course 10 meters, were competed in batteries until they were certain the car more efficient. In addition to prizes for the best performing teams were awarded to the team with the best design and the best knowledge of the principles for the use of solar cells for vehicles of model potere.Il car competition required students to use applied science and engineering expertise to address the technical challenges similar to those that scientists and engineers face to provide a functional vehicle, light, with an efficient engine, excellent teeth, low friction, and excellent performance. The development of a successful project requires experimentation, teamwork, and organization. Solar Sprint is sponsored by Argonne National Laboratory, the Department of Energy of the United States, the Society of Automotive Engineers and CNH Corp.
