These are a must have for us because in winter if the sun is out but snow is on the ground you can still cook. And for backpacking the one that breaks down is great for cooking in. And they keep the heat out of my kitchen in our 100* summer days here in CA
@harleyxxfabco it’s not their fault because if they could just drive down to Walmart or Target and pick up all this shit they would. But they can’t for various reasons like lack of money, resources and a good government, none of which is their fault. they obviously are grateful for the help they’re receiving. and really, we should probably be doing more to help people in these countries when we’ve got it so good without nearly doing as much as they do just to survive.
Why isn’t it their fault that they have barely progressed past the stone age?
I am all for sharing technology withe them. It is just a damn shame that it takes Western civilization (white people) to lift them out of poverty. They ought to be falling all over themselves thanking the Anglo-American culture for dragging them into the 21st century.

Soon we will be forced to use solar energy to cook , heat homes, boil water, light fires and smoke cannabis.
It figures that it would take white folks to teach these people how to use even the most basic necessities. Why hasn’t the light bulb gone off in one of these natives minds after all these years. We may hate white people for a lot of reasons but you have to give them props for their ingenuity.
This video has busted the myth that sustainable energy generation is expensive. This is an eye-opener and a definite inspiration.
@abneyone It’d be impossible to do frequently in the Philippines. Your lungs would die from the pollution outside. but i’d like to see it done, nevertheless

Kudos to all involved. I would like to make one suggestion. Very dark sunglasses with uv protection should be standard equipment for any one cooking with a solar stove or oven.

I love the pasteurization meter, even though my electricity is included in my rent, I still use my solar cooker all the time. change starts from within.

I would love to see that catch on on the Philippines. I’ve made my own solar oven and it works great. But it’s not something that most people want to cook with at this time.
