What is the comparison to Regular Energy heating, tell me some good things about solar passive heating.

WOW!! this question is almost 1 hour old and look at all of the good things about solar passive heating. Would that be a clue!! There are not many good things about solar heat. It costs too much to get started and the return on investment is terrible. I heat with wood (renewalbe source) and I loved the low electric bills this winter.

Solar passive heating is available free to almost every household.
All you need do is open your curtains on the sunny side of your house and close the doors and windows and the room gets warmer for no cost. By doing this you can reduce you regular heating bills.
Of course it is possible to spend money on solar passive heating by re-building your house to maximise the solar energy caught in this way but such expenditure would be difficult to recoup. On the other hand it is possible to design new houses with passive solar heating in mind for very little extra cost.
As well as reducing your heating bills passive solar energy reduces pollution caused by energy generation and transmission.

JSB is 100% but I just want to add that you could also use black or very dark curtains or have very dark objects in your house sitting in direct sunlight.
