@Klikin1
Thanx for all the great info : )
I might just take you up on that…lol : )
If we were to have plants along the whole south side it would be UNBEARABLY humid in the summer. Anywayz, we LOVE showing people our earthship, come visit sometime! : D
which we use a few months during the summer. We also had to make our own hill for the back of the house because there’s not any hills around here. Something else we’ve learned building an earthship here is to make sure you’re not in a flood zone! We build fairly close to a creek, so we have some problems with water leaking in through the adobe when it rains REALLY hard! Another important thing is that we only have one small planter in the kitchen which contains mostly cactus.
well, let’s see. Building in Texas is a lot different. The earthship in this video has the original New Mexico angle of the windows, but that’s ok (hopefully) cuz’ they have a whole separate greenhouse thing along the whole south side. Texas is obviously A LOT hotter than Taus, so my dad made the windows vertical and put a large overhang on the outside so the sun only comes in in the winter. In addition to this we have 2 window AC units
Hey
Thanks for getting back to me!
Tell me MORE…..LOL!
Michele
Hey! sorry it took so long to respond. My dad has been building our earthship for the past 15 years pretty much single handedly. He did a lot of research and met with Michael Reynolds. We moved in in 2000. I’m not sure of the cost, but we were able to get all our tires free.

Whatever. I don’t think what I said was unreasonable. I cranked my volume to max and still couldn’t hear her. If saying that she was cute is offensive, I suppose I understand that. Ok I take that part back but I still can’t hear her.
Exercise caution with your words friend.
recently kowns about that movement…. i´m gladly surpirsed, you are great guys.

Hi there! May I ask how long your house took to build, how much it cost and if you built it yourself? If not did you get the Biotecture crew to help?
