@poobslag some say yes some say no. The amount of emulator filters has increased allowing people to really customize the output made however there is so much more pleasure hearing it from a commodore 64! I love playing all the SID songs on my commodore 64!

sid emulators don’t sound as good as the real thing though, or at least they didn’t 2 years ago. have they gotten better?
