If I had the money now this is what I would do. I would get a Tri-Magnum 3-wheel car developed by R. Q. Riley. It is a build it yourself kit car designed back in the 80’s. The Tri-Magnum has a two wheel front suspension of a VW Bug and the back end of a motorcycle. This configuration massively reduces the weight of the vehicle while retaining the stability and driving characteristics of a four wheeled car. Less weight, aerodynamic body shape and lower rolling resistance make this vehicle a fuel saving, head turning heck of a fun ride.

I recently found one of these beauties for sale online. “Tri-Magnum Sports Car” is the title for the page and it goes on to tell about many of the car’s attributes and statistics. One of which is that it claims to get 45+ miles per gallon. Thats cool. All though it is still using regular gasoline. If I had the money I would buy the Tri-Magnum and then, maybe as a first step, put and E85 conversion kit on it. Doing this will make it a FLEX Fuel vehicle. Meaning that it will be able to run on either regular gasoline, E85 (85% alcohol to 15% gas mixture) or any combination in between. Doing this opens up the possibility of producing your own alcohol to mix into the FLEX Fuel car. The ultimate idea would be to convert the engine over to running straight alcohol and cut big oil out of the picture altogether.
